The NPA have been contacting Police and Crime Commissioners’ with the aim of upskilling Police Officers to promote pawnbroking knowledge around crime prevention frameworks within stores. Our aim is to help prevent pledges/stock being taken away by Officers, causing financial loss to our members. If you do receive a visit from your local force attempting to remove any items please contact the NPA as we want to be able to keep a record of incidences, which will help when liaising with local forces. We completed our first meeting with the Avon and Somerset force, who want to work more closely with the NPA.
